Brian Cohen, Director of Pharmacy for The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas was installed as the 2012-2013 TSHP President during the Society's Annual Seminar in Dallas, April 15-17. ASHP Past President Diane Ginsberg installed Cohen along with incoming President-Elect Emory Martin, III of Scott & White Health-System in Temple and Secretary Jabeen John of Methodist Richardson Medical Center. Continuing on the TSHP Executive Committee will be Immediate past President Randy Ball with Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital Fort Worth and Treasurer Nancy Myers with Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas.

Candidates for 2012 TSHP Elections were finalized during the TSHP membership meeting at the close of the Seminar. Ballots will be distributed in the near future to voting members of the Society to select the next President-Elect and Treasurer, who will be installed in their respective offices at the Annual Seminar in 2013. Candidates include:

President-Elect: Larry Egle and Shane Greene
Treasurer: Aaron Bond, Linda Haines and Jennifer Hillman

Proposed amendments to the Bylaws of the Society were presented at the TSHP Annual Meeting on Sunday, April 15.  They will now be submitted to the membership via electronic ballot for a vote.  The proposals would change the name and responsibility of the TSHP Council on Public Affairs to Council on Public Affairs and Advocacy, and change the way in which elections are held for officers of the TSHP Technician Section.  To see the complete document, click here.
